Question 3
Questions Item Type Metadata
Description
3rd TEST: Arch-quarryman: Very nice ... To become a good quarrier - and maybe one day an arch-quarrier – you should not only know how to remove pieces of marble from the rock. You must also transfer them, thus you should know how cranes work. Find and show me holes for the wooden beams of the cranes and bindings for their support. You can also find such traces not only in our quarry but also in older ones.
QuestionText
Did you find the location?
Correct Answer
YES
DescriptionCorrectAnswer
Well done. You're at the Quarries of Group C
You are high on the trail at an altitude of about twenty meters from the sea. We are at the beginning and at the eastern side of the quarry of the early Christian period. From here, the mounting points of another lifting machine are visible. On the rock next to us we can also notice the carving of the point of the stable fastening of the crane. Below us we see a cylindrical marble bulk, possibly an order that never reached its destination.
In the complete tour there are other traces of cranes’ support from different eras. If you want you can attend the complete tour to find them.
Go to the next spot to participate in the fourth Test.

It doesn’t matter. Maybe a mistake was made with the identification of the location. The trace is at the quarries of group C and high on the trail at an altitude of about twenty meters from the sea. From the location of the trace, the mounting points of another lifting machine are visible. On the rock next to us we can also notice the carving of the point of the stable fastening of the crane. Below us we see a cylindrical marble bulk, possibly an order that never reached its destination.
