The iron bars were manufactured in local workshops of the time in order to secure any openings. Over time: In 1979, the property is purchased by Manos Hadjidakis. The famous composer who was born in Xanthi, was dreaming to create the “Musical Feasts” of the city therefore he was searching for a building in order to host their “organisational” needs. He didn’t manage to maintain the building neither to fulfil his dream for his hometown as his interest was quickly faded away since the local authorities didn’t support his efforts. Thus, in 1982, the building was sold again. How it operates today : Until today the building remains uninhabited.
