The building is built, around 1906, by George Papadopoulos and his wife Kleoniki, nee Pilidis - Mazzini.
In the picture of 1928, we see the house, the adjacent bell tower and military and civilians leaving from the Cathedral, after prayer, for the restoration of the health of Eleftherios Venizelos, who was suffering from dengue fever. The event was organized by the Refugee Association of Xanthi.
